Berlin U-Bahn INSPIRED TEXTILES

As a new comer to Berlin, in 2017, I traveled through the U-Bahn stations and realized that each station has its own personality. I began to recognize the stations by their individual character more than their name, the more attention I gave to each station the more I discovered and appreciated its unique details. I was inspired to create repeat textile patterns inspired from the details in a station. The unique details of each station's design and history was deconstructed and then reconstructed to create an abstract interpretation of the station.
